Day 1 (Surabaya - Malang)

Meet and Greet with our guide at the Airport/Train station or Hotel.  Travel to Pronojiwo, a village in the south of Malang, near the waterfall area. Possible stop to visit Rainbow Village in Malang city, its urban area where the Village can grow from a poor life and dirty environment, becoming a colorful place with tourist spots inside. 

(TUMPAK SEWU HOMESTAY OR SIMILIAR)

Day 2 (Tumpak Sewu - Cemoro Lawang)

Today we have to wake up at 6.00 am, then enjoy your breakfast. Before going to explore the waterfall, we will visit Teras Semeru, where you can see the morning view of the rice paddy with a volcanic background.

Next, we are going forward to visit and explore Tumpak Sewu Waterfall. Trekking down takes 30 minutes by stone stairs. Once you arrive at the viewpoint, you can see a magical view of a thousand waterfalls down in the rim of the stones. 

Finish from Tumpak sewu forward to Cemoro Lawang village, which is located in the slope of mountain area. Enjoy your stay with mountain temperature (0 - 7 Celsius) and prepare for the next Day.

Day 3 (Mount Bromo - Bondowoso/Banyuwangi)

02.00 AM Wake-up call, prepare to go by 4WD Car to Sunrise Point. Enjoy the sunrise, after that go forward to Caldera, visit and see Mount Bromo with trekking to 200 stairs. Finish the activity and back to Hotel

* If you have more activities in the area, we can accommodate as long as you don't get tired. After exploring the mountain, back to the hotel, enjoy your Breakfast, and prepare to go to the next hotel. 

Travel to Bondowoso City, 4 - 5 Hours, once you arrive at the Hotel you can enjoy the pool and relax.

Day 4 (Mount Ijen - Finish)

Wake in Midnight, Transfer to Ijen Hub, 1 Hour drive. Once you arrive in the Ijen hub, our guide will prepare all the things that you need before hiking. Briefly done, let's hike to the Summit led by a local guide.

We will trek 1,5 Hours, the first stop is the blue flame viewpoint. After enjoying the view, we stayed at the top of the Mountain and waited to see the scenery of the colored lake of Mount Ijen. 

Finish from Mountain, we will enjoy breakfast in Hub, and next travel to Port if you are going to Bali or Back to Surabaya if you get and take flight from the airport.

FAQ

Is this tour suitable for beginners with no hiking experience?

Yes. Tumpak Sewu and Bromo are easy walks. Ijen is the most challenging with 3 kilometers uphill on gravel path but doable for most healthy adults. Not recommended for pregnant women, infants, or people with respiratory conditions.

Do I need to pay a deposit to book?

No. You can reserve now and pay later. Full payment is due 7 days before departure via bank transfer or credit card.

What is the cancellation policy?

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure. Between 24 hours and the start of tour you receive a 50 percent refund. No refund after the tour has started.

Can you pick me up from Bali?

Not directly. You need to reach Surabaya or Malang first by flight or by ferry from Gilimanuk to Ketapang. We can drop you at Ketapang Port on day 4 so you continue to Bali by ferry.

Will I actually see the blue flame at Ijen?

The blue flame is visible only in complete darkness before sunrise, typically between 02.00 and 04.30. Weather and volcanic gas activity can affect visibility. Our guides know the safest and best viewing spots.

Can I customize the itinerary?
